Hypothesis
What if the power of connection can be used for something good?
The initial idea was proposed by DT's then-in-resident 'creative technologist' Mikey MacGyver. 
As Lead Experience Designer on the project, it was my task to explore what this would mean for Vodafone and their customers within the network.

Fig. #3 - The predicted experience needed to capture the 'value' & 'worth' of being involved - dashboards, data sharing and reward notifications were important considerations.
Insights
Research
We invited 10 existing Vodafone network subscribers to participate in a qualitative study, to determine whether the proposed process of making the donation task so simple, would encourage them to download the app and use the potential processing power of their smartphone for good.
Dream Lab | core customer journey map
The customer journey map highlights the essence of what researched mobile users offered as qualitative feedback to the initial idea. The framework of engage, nudge, support and reward provides the 'Interaction Experience Cycle' at a scalable level.
